Key Stage 5
What will I study?
We offer our students the best possible equipment from Adidas team-wear through to iPads. The team-wear is important for our corporate identity. All students will receive an Adidas team-wear kit comprising of waterproofs, jumper, 2 training tops, 2 shorts, 2 socks and boot bag (a deposit is required which is refunded at the end of the course).
The importance of coach education can never be under estimated. This is particularly true for nations who aspire to succeed at the top level of the international sports stage. This will enable coaches to achieve their full potential. More importantly, it means the standard of football played by students will inevitably improve.
Sessions are run throughout the week to develop coaches into innovative practitioners with the tools and knowledge to ensure the highest quality outcome for students, empowering them to improve the ability to coach through a variety of football reality practices. Students will complete a range of coaching and instructional qualifications while on the course, which will be paid for by the Academy. Throughout the two years on the course there will be a gradual increase in difficulty of coaching; whilst still maintaining the same underlying themes and using realistic game practices. We will use the highest quality professionals to deliver coach education, the Academy Manager who oversees the students’ Coach Education holds a UEFA license qualification and the CTC Head of Faculty for Sport & Outdoor Learning is an ex professional who played for 15 years within the professional game. Guest speakers and coaches have included Noel Blake – Under 19 England Manager and Darren Moore from the Professional Football Association (Premier League player with WBA & Derby)
